Vacation, north shore of Minnesota 1940 ?
These all belong together. I am not sure where the first four were taken, but the rest are from along Minnesota's lake Superior shore line from Illgen City to Grand Marais. The car, a 1935 Oldsmobile, in the background of the third picture is the same one that is in the sixth. Note the sign in the fifth picture. I guess phone numbers were not in style yet. You would ask the operator for Cabinola by name.
